Hopefully you guys can help.....

Friend of mine is flying LAX-CVG-FCO coming up this week.
Any idea what can be expected on the CVG-FCO flight? Entertainment, meals, service etc.. to be expected in coach... I've only flown Delta once, and all my other flights across the pond with other airines have been on 747's, so I have no reference for him. In fact I do not believe I have ever flown a 767.

What about connection times in CVG. I believe he said arriving B-3 from LAX and departing B-19 with 45 minutes. And finally, anyone with knowledge of the customs experience/Airport in Rome?

Thanks!

Hey

CVG connections are a breeze, especially mainline-to-mainline. The international flights all leave out of B1-B10, while all mainline flights (domestic and international) arrive on Concourse B - the LAX flights generally leave toward the center of the concourse. Either way, it's a 5 minute walk at most, and there are moving walkways. I just did a 25 minute mainline-to-mainline connection at CVG on Thursday and it was no sweat.

Entertainment on the 767 is overhead monitors in coach, PTVs in BusinessElite. 2 meal services - one dinner, one breakfast. On the return, it's a lunch and a light snack. You get a complimentary alcoholic beverage with the main meal.

DA
Thanks for the CVG info. Looks like, unless the inbound flight is delayed, he should have no problem making that connection.

I was curious about one thing. I found this site called Seat Guru, which shows PVT's for the entire plane, both versions of the 767-300ER. I was very suprised when I saw that, didn't really figure they would have that.. And you confirm just the overhead monitors. Is Seat Guru wrong alot? I just thought I found a great website, and the first plane I check is wrong  Angry

SeatGuru is a great site and is generally right, but it's definitely wrong on the 767-300 ERs. Only the 767-300 Domestics have the PTVs (with the satellite TVs, etc.). The -ERs have replaced the projection displays with LCD TVs overhead, but there's still no PTVs.
