hi,
next Christmas i'm going with my wife to nyc from northern italy. i live near venice (padua) and luckily i'll flying in business.
my wife is scared of flying and i have different options:
a non stop flight (that is the best choice for my wife-less flights-less fear) but i have to flight DL form VCE or DL,CO,AZ from MXP and their business class is not the best you can fly with.
a one stop flight form vce with one of the major european carriers (BA;LH;AF;OS;IB etc...): two flight (wife not very happy) but a better service.
i checked the price and is approximately the same.
what do u suggest?
if the second option is good witch airline?

Well, there's two reasoning's:
Less flights = less fear. This is only true if your wife is particularly scared when take off and landing. In that case, be a gentleman and go for the direct flight. The service from the US carriers is fine, though not brilliant. I would prefer CO. Nothing wrong with that.
Being in the are is scary. Some people are afraid of the being in the air bit. They dont care too much about take off or landing. In that case a nice stop in London would be a good idea. Being on BA NGCW will seriously reduce the awareness of being on an aircraft.
So whatever you choose: identify her particular kind of fear first and decide based on that.
Frankly: all the other European carriers to the US (IB, KL, AF or even LH) are not that much better than CO or DL...

I have had quite good experience on DL's BusinessElite between CDG and ATL v/v on 3 flights (B763 and B777) and would not hesitate to fly with them again.
