Hi,
which countries have you visited, but only stayed in the airport transit? We had a similar thread with the cities visited, but only the airport.
Do you count that you have been in a country, if you only been in the airport tranist? I do.

Here is my list:
Switzerland
Cyprus
United Arab Emirates
Ethiopia

Cheers,
Alex

Only country for me is Russia, a SIP-SVO-GYD routing a month ago so that I didn't have to travel through Georgia to reach Azerbaijan. 17 odd hours spent in SVO wasn't the most thrilling visit to a country I've ever made, but for such a short amount of time it just wasn't worth the hassle of getting a visa.

You're not the only one - I keep getting poked and prodded to get on with it by several people  silly  Unfortunately I've had zilch time since I got back and no firm internet connection - just nabbing the neighbour's wireless, but that's hopefully all going to be resolved in the next few days... so I'll get writing  Wink

Only AMS for me. Does that mean I can say I have been to the Netherlands? I'm still debating about it. Because I was in Schiphol for five hours and I got to interact and talk with several Dutch passengers and employees and so in that aspect, I got to experience a little bit of the Netherlands, AND I also had my lunch with a Heineken (so I did something considerably local maybe??). I know that does not cover even a tip of the mound of culture that is the Dutch but I still don't know if I can say I have been in the Netherlands. That and I later flew a KLM cityhopper flight and talked to more Dutch friendlies. Anybody care to help me out with this one?

Kind regards,

-Ayubogg

I don't , but even if I did it would only raise my country count by 3

Thailand ( enroute to HAN )

United Arab Emirates ( enroute to IST )

Singapore ( also enroute to IST ) although I did leave the airport and go into SIN I dont count it since I didnt spend a night there
