Hi guys.
I just can't help but admire the aesthetics of the Boeing 7E7. It's so beautiful! Like a sleek sharp flying shark. It just looks gorgeous from every angle. Don't you think?
I'm also excited about the A380 but I don't think Airbus have put much thought into the aesthetics of the A380 at all.
Anyway, wish Qantas would order the 7E7-although I know this is not likely to happen anytime soon.

You know that the 7E7 pictures are just artist renditions right now and will have little resemblance to the real deal once the design freeze is conducted?

The looks outside is one thing, what they have created for the interior is amazing, and from the polls I have answered I can honestly say that they are looking into redesigning EVERY aspect of the plane, not even the air flow nozzles and they controls are the same as always!
With 20% moisture in the air over the 7-10% current moisture and with the electronically tuning windows to allow viewable yet UV proof windows for day sleeping this plane sure has it all AND MORE...
I agree with you Qantasclub, I am also excited about the A380 as I love big planes, but from a passenger's viewpoint, I must say that the interior does not look like a jet from this century, but more from the end of the last one...I mean I expected that they would create all new things like Boeing to meet the new generation of aircraft...
But like the cockpit it seems Airbus are determined to stick with the original look???
Too bad and too old if you ask me...

It may be the best looking ON PAPER...but just wait until it is actually built then decide for yourself.
I, myself, still waiting for the final design & built then I'll make my opinions.

From what I have seen the only airplane that rivals it is the L-1011.

Boeing has already publicly stated that the finished 7E7 won´t look too different from the concept, with its Caravelle/Comet-inspired nose and according to the manufacturer the tail should also look more like the concept rather than the steep pin-like tail of the 777.
The A380 doesn´t look much different from the concept 6 or 7 years ago, so why should the 7E7? If they would create just another 767/777 generic twin I bet everybody would be deeply disappointed - including the airlines.
You have to change looks to stay on top - unless you have timeless classics like Concorde or 747.

I think both I and Qantasclub have expressed that we think this plane will look amazing, I have also added that I think the interior will be mindblowing, so what interest or succes do you seek when trying to tell us otherwise?

Nice looking airplane for sure, however, it cannot compare with Concorde's superlative shape and aerodynamic design. Concorde looks like it's goin' fast even when it's parked at the gate with a tug attached to the nose gear, all the cargo doors open and a catering truck at the forward door!!!!! What a pity she no longer graces the skies. In the subsonic realm, it's gotta be the super VC10. Naw, I am afraid the 7E7 does not have the aesthetics of these machines.

Be excited about the current drawings and interior mockups. But let's be realistic on this. What airline will buy an interior like that. It will not happen, It's probably too expensive, too innovative, too expensive and too expensive.
Point is that it will all be about efficiency and the promised 2-4-2 seating will end up in a very narrow 3-3-3 or 2-5-2 on most airliners. The width of the fuselage allows such an interior. The seating presented in the mockup are more like a art deco design relic than a realistic presentation of what it will look like. I asume having a peak inside any current aircraft will present you a better look into the future.
Also all these nice plans for sky ceilings, Xtra large windows will probably dissapear since they will be too expensive.

Nether did boeing and the 747, think about that.

I think that the 7E7 is interesting, and while I love Concorde, I really love the 747-400.

From the design pics and artist pics of the 4 different airlines that have ordered the B7E7 I think it will be the best looking aircraft ever built. I can't wait till Air NZ receives their first B7E7 in 2010

I seriously think that the 7E7 doesn't look like Boeing would of made or design. Look at Boeing over the years, They haven't really put some thought into the look of most of it aircraft, as long as it flies. The 7E7 looks like the
