Hi guys:

I am in the Netherlands for a year and while my classes are a bit hard, i still have alot of free time and really want to do lots of aviation related stuff.

Can someone give me advice on what i can do? Like airshows? Flights i can take for fun? Where i can fly a cessna? Just random aviation related stuff like that.

Any advice will be very valuable.

Warm regards

I want every single airport and airplane in India to be on A.net!

The local flying club here in Norwich (NWI) offer trial flights -

And flights AMS-NWI are operated frequently by both KLM and FlyBe (there is also a train / ferry combination).

If you do decide to head to the UK, there are airshows all over the place. Lowestoft has a free public one each summer, and Duxford air museum has frequent flying days (fly to STN then bus or train to Cambrigde). They also operate joy flights on non-airshow days - I went in a De Havilland Dragon Rapide many years ago!

Next summer will be the biannual Paris - Le Bourget air show, takes place on odd numbered years.

Have fun!

You might bring a visit to the Dutch Aviation Theme Park Aviodrome.

You can book Cessna flights for little money or something special like a Catalina flight including a water landing(recommended).
Although at this moment the Cat is grounded with a little technical problem I am sure it will be airborne again sometime soon.

At Lelystad there are also numerous little companies with Cessna's and other small A/C for hire.

The truth lives in one’s mind, it doesn’t really exist

If you do not need to fly out of AMS, have a look into FR's website. Many like to fly them for daytrips. www.ryanair.com
Watch out for A.net meetings being held throughout Europe.
These are being posted over in non'av.
The next one will be held outside LHR : http://www.airliners.net/aviation-fo...ms/non_aviation/read.main/1956212/
More to come ...

Carpe diem ! Life is too short to waste your time ! Keep in mind, that today is the first day of the rest of your life !

You could fly the worlds shortest commercial air route, from Westray to Papa westray? See www.loganair.co.uk or Aer Lingus from Dublin to Shannon on an A330.

I would definately make a point of seeing the Concorde whilst your in Europe also.

Enjoy your stay.
