Hi everyone... In January next year, I need to fly to MIA from IST for a week (a cruise vacation) but I have very specific dates as I can not get more vacations from work... I tried a lot of possibilities but I was wondering if you could find a good deal for my flight...
Route: IST-MIA on 24 January 2009
MIA-IST on 01 February 2009
Points to consider:
1. I have a Flying Blue card (AF) and another transatlantic flight would possibly bring me a free transatlantic flight
2. I also have a TK Miles and Smiles membership so Star Alliance also works.
3. I have no cards whatsoever from OneWorld group.
4. I am traveling alone so ideally I would prefer an Airbus for long haul and ideally with PTVs
4. Again, ideally, a ticket for around 1000 USD max.

Quoting TurkishWings (Thread starter): 4. I am traveling alone so ideally I would prefer an Airbus for long haul and ideally with PTVs
Why Airbus? Just wondering... not starting a war. PTV's DL has them on most of their 767's.
Which is $950 for easy conversion so you don't have to look it up.
Otherwise the only guarantee that I can find for Airbus with PTV's is for US $1317.64 from KLM's website it is this:
IST-AMS
KL 1610 Dep 05:25 Arr 08:05 Boeing 737-700 (winglets) 3hr 40min
AMS-DTW (One of the USA's nicest Airports)
NW 67 Dep 10:20 Arr 13:45 Airbus A330-300 8hr 55min

AMS-IST
KL 1613 Dep 09:10 Arr 13:35 737-800 (Winglets) 3hrs 25min
OR from KLM I also found this for $1,163.80 US

Don't bother checking AF's website, it says that there are no flight available haha.
Cheapest is $961 US on British Airways (I know no cards in that area)
Cheapest Skyteam is Delta at $977 US thats what Hywel found, and this is from Delta.com, or 981 for extra miles flying IST-CDG-ATL-MIA, then MIA-JFK-IST
Cheapest Star Alliance is Swiss at $1210 US
Goodluck!
