I was wondering if anyone here has flown to ASU from the state before. Reason being is that I will be traveling down there in the Spring of next year. Looking at the months of March, April, or May. What is the best time to travel down there? I will be there for two weeks checking some things out.
I did a quick look online to see prices and airlines that fly there. I know that AA used to fly there into ASU but doesnt look like it any more. My starting flights would be out of California from FAT, SFO, or LAX depending on prices and flight times. Some of the things I saw were:
AA from FAT to LAX connecting with KE to GRU and then JJ onto ASU
DL from SFO to JFK connecting with JL or JJ to GRU and then JJ onto ASU
LP from LAX to LIM connecting with LN to SCL and then JJ onto ASU
Which one would you pick? There are other options of course to get to Brasil and then over but I am just trying to figure out what I should be taking that is most comfortable. It will be my first time in this country. I usually only travel to Brasil so I know those routes and airlines fairly well.
SCL is a very nice airport-- quite user-friendly, and if you have some sort of disaster, you can enter Chile without a visa, which is nice (though it sounds like you may have a Brazil visa, so maybe this is a moot point). Some (all?) LA flights also route LAX-LIM-SCL direct/same plane, which is nice. I think you'll enjoy LA and LP service, too.
I can't decide whether I miss the tulip or the bowling shoe more
