Hi all,

I'm doing YYZ-EWR-PEK on CO this December and I've never been to EWR before. My flight comes into EWR at 1105 (CO 3302) and next flight leaves at 1215 (CO 89).

Is an hour enough?

No way, I took the flight to PEK and had only a 1 and 1/2 hour layover. Before I got to the gate (About An Hour Before) They Were Boarding !

Well, you will already have precleared customs and immigration in YYZ, so once you get to EWR, you won't have to deal with any of those formalities. However, since you're on a CO Express flight, you'll be arriving into Terminal A, and you'll have to take the inter-terminal bus over to Terminal C, which can easily take 20 minutes or so, especially if you have to wait a little while before the next bus departs.

Basically, assuming that your flight from YYZ is on time, you'll probably make the connection, but you'll have to fly through the airport and speedwalk from the gate where the bus arrives (C70 or thereabouts) over to wherever the PEK flight is leaving from, which seems to have a tendency to depart from C-3, a good 5-7 minute walk from the entrance to C-1. You'll make it, but they'll probably be close to finished with boarding and you definitely won't have any time to make a pit stop for food or anything else.

I think you'll be fine, IF you get a move on.
The only issue I foresee is weather. December? Yuk.

Thanks for the replies, guys.

There's only 1 earlier CO flight which leaves YYZ at 0630 and gets into EWR at 0814 (CO 3304). It gives me more than enough time, a little too much in my opinion. That's why I'm considering CO 3302.

Guys, my next question, how do you kill 4 hours at EWR?  hyper

How about counting the people stood at an empty gate because they did not leave enough time to transfer.  Big grin  duck

you don't get a second chance to make a first impression!
