Transitting In DKR On The DL Flights

Hi all, Can't find too much info about this on the net, but has anyone taken the Delta Airlines flights that stop in Dakar on their way to South Africa? Am thinking of taking the JFK>CPT flight in January that stops in Dakar. Do they make you get off the plane and transit or do you stay on the plane? Can't imagine its a great transit airport.

From what I remember from reading a trip report on here, you remain on board; security comes on board and you get checked, and then sent on your way...
