Does anyone know of a flight you can take in today's schedules where you can get a lot of stops in between your origin and destination, be it US domestic or International? When I flew back in the day on Piedmont Airlines, I could fly from DCA to CAE and stop at ten different airports. Where can I do that today?

I know that the question is about actual flight at this time. But i remember that PAN AM used to have two flights going in opposite directions around the world with few stops including BEY. PA1 and PA2.Correct me if i am wrong.

Well, you can't book from one end to the other, but WN has a DEN-PHX-SAT-DAL-ABQ-LAS-RNO-BOI-GEG route. Can't remember flight number right now. We seem to have many very uniquely routed flight numbers these days. Utilizing less flight numbers,I guess.
OK, it's flight 1401, eff with 11/2 schedule change.

That is probably the winner, but not on distance travelled.

JL had some interesting ones up until the late 80s/early 90s. For instance, they operated a NRT-ATH sector that made something like 4 stops along the way though I can't remember what they all were right now.
OK, I just found the routemap. It looks like the flight was route NRT-BKK-BAH-JED-ATH and NRT-BKK-KHI-CAI-ATH.

Canadian carrier Air Inuit (3H) that serves the far northern region of Quebec (almost all points with no means of transportation other than by air) has a Dash 8 flight 3 days a week with 6 stops from YUL to the small Inuit community of Salluit (YZG), population 1100, near the northern coast of Hudson Bay. That flight has one sector 2.5 hrs long and total elapsed time all the way is 10.5 hrs. Departs YUL 0700, arrives YZG 1730. The aircraft overnights and returns the next day leaving YZG at 0830 and arriving YUL at 1850. The entire one way trip with the 6 stops covers 1401 miles (2255 km). It could well be the longest Dash 8 flight in the world. 3H's Dash 8s are equipped with a galley for hot meal service.

One of the longest routes and flights that I remember is flight CO-051 departing from FRA and arriving after 27 hours of flight to EZE (with stop at EWR and IAH)
Or the flight number MH-201 departing from KUL and arriving EZE after 25 hours of flight (with stop at JNB and CPT).

Sometimes I looked at MSP-SYD flights on NW. About five stops usually with two or three different carriers. Ticket prices: almost $13,000
