OK, is it just me, or does this just look ridiculous? I know MA has done this big ugly purple nose on their other planes with varying degrees of ugliness (IMHO), but on the Dash 8 and the
CRJ, they've gone way too far. I know they use the planes entire natural nose cone for this treatment, which makes some planes look idiotic.

It's a shame too because otherwise i think the Malev livery is very sharp.

Check these out .. and please tell me someone else agrees with me on this one !

I like the painted nose-cones on MALEV. It is what sets them apart from other airlines and makes them unique.

I agree.

It's part of Malev's identity, and I think it actually looks quite good, especially on the Q400 (more so than the 737). IMO they should keep it.

It looks sharp because of it. Losing the nose would result in just another BORING all-white scheme like 99% of all the rest.

Their nose cone on the smaller aircrafts such as the Q400 looks awkward, but on the bigger aircrafts it looks okay.

Looks funny if you ask me. Gives them a unique design. Big grin ( and easy to spot! )

Personally, I think it looks awful. I've never liked those black nosecones that you used to see years ago, and was more than happy to see them go away.

While I agree that it does make Malev's livery unique - to me, having a unique ugly livery isn't really something I'd see as an advantage. I'd prefer the less unique, but far better look of their planes without those darkened nosecones.

But, as always, it's a matter of opinion...  Wink

Doesn't look particularly good on this bird IMO, but I think it DOES on the 737's, it gives a nice touch. Although I never realized it was purple, always thought black hehe.

Even if they were to keep the color up there as a round dot rather than filling the entire nose cone with the color, i'd be happier!  Wink

Ive always thought it was Navy Blue!

I don't mind the Blue/Purple nose on the 737 fleet but IMO it should be half the size on the Q400. But it's something different gives the brand individuality.

I love the Malev Blue/purple nose. If anything it makes the nose look sharper.

Only critisim is the Dash 8 look like a pencil
