BA And UA First Class Seats The Same?

I just flew BA in first. With a few small differences they seemed to be the same as the "old" UA first seat. Did they use the same supplier? Is it not weird that BA wouldn't use a better product than UA? Is the "new" UA first seat better than BA?

BAs F seats were designed by Contour, UAs new F seats are made by B/E Aerospace so they are different seats however there are only so many way to package what in essence is the same general design for a seat. As for who's better I would say that BA has a better soft product but UAs suite does beat out BAs hard product in a number of areas.
