In the past, when I've searched for reward flights on the CO website for flights within Europe, I've been given the option of using my onepass miles to book flights with AF, eg, DUB-CDG-SVO or DUB-CDG-IST. However, I've just been on the CO website searching for reward flights from Paris to destinations in Europe served by AF, and I'm getting the message "Continental or its partners serve these cities but do not publish schedules or fares between them. It may be possible to construct an itinerary using two separate fares by calling 1-800-300-1547"
Is CO no longer allowing reward flights to be booked with partner airlines for shrot-haul flights?

I noticed that as well! they are performing some maintenance & update to their website this weekend, and I am hoping that they will bring back some of the goodies from the past!
FYI, I also spoke with an agent last week for reward travel (domestic in US) and asked her if CO is staying with Skyteam, and she said that at this point, all they know is that they are leaving Skyteam by end of this year. But she didn't know who they will be joining next. Quoting her: "All we are told Sir is that we will be leaving Skyteam by years end or early 2010, that's all the information we have been given."

The answer to that is simple (if not already widely known - at least on A.net): Star Alliance. But likely, the agent is in no position to be allowed to tell this.

If you get THAT message, they can do it, but for whatever reason, not over the website. While it's true that CO is doing website maintenance (and changing booking fares, if you read the small print), the message you got is one that you can receive at any time, particularly when booking odd reservations, like yours.
