Decided to go to BKK for a couple of days nonrev. EK is very full and so is TG.

I took a look on KVS - CX DXB/BKK VIA BOM

CX 750 DXB 23:55 BKK 10:45 +1 744 1 F4 A4 J9 C9 D9 I9 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9

CX 750 DXB 23:55 BOM 04:10 +1 744 0 F4 A4 J9 C9 D9 I9 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9

CX 750 BOM 05:20 BKK 10:45 744 0 F0 A0 J0 C0 D0 I0 Y0 B0 H0 K0 M0 L0 V0 S0

Can anyone explain why DXB/BKK appears to have plenty of seats and also DXB/BOM yet BOM/BKK appears to be sold out - it doesnt make sense

if anyone has the actual loads it would be appreciated.

as always if anyone needs info on seat type or load expected on any EK flight feel free to PM me

Can't tell you about your specific flight however a lot of times the airline releases only a certain number of seats for an single segment of a multi-stop flight. If, as the travel date nears and seats are still unsold they may add more seats on the segment.

Also, in the case of CX I have noticed that many of their flights show "9" in all classes up to the day of departure but when you show up at the airport you find out that its overbooked.

Quoting FlyEmirates (Thread starter):

Naturally, CX would want to sell their premium seats at least all the way from DXB, but normally Y would be open for everything, but maybe they have a quota that has been filled for the BOM/BKK sector. Maybe, if they don't sell more of the DXB/BKK, then they might open more seats for the BOM/BKK sector.

Although, I don't understand why the DXB/BOM has plenty of seats then (unless its just the quota that has been filled for the BOM/BKK sector).
