2nd last row from the back in the A window seat.

Seriously!

Reasons - quicker meal service, closer to the galleys and toilets, I prefer seeing the entire plane in front of me, and statistically safer in the event we crash. Sometimes you can even overhear F/A's bitching, which is fun too!

Bulkhead row (near the front meaning one of the first ones off, helpful for a connection when your first flight is late. Also the bulkhead doesn't recline)
Exit Row (Leg Room)
Back Row (close to lav and galley)

Aisle seat...

I mean seriously, even though the window seat is cool during takeoff and landing, for the many hours in-between I like to have some open space around me.

Emergency seat for the legroom, but the foldout tray and no bag in front of you are downsides, prefer it on mediumhaul. On longhaul, Aisle seat actually. Easier to get up and walk around, go to lavatories etc.

8) Emegency Exit:

I like to set in the Exit Rows because of the extra legroom which makes me feel a lot less cramped and also in the event of an incident I trust myself in this situation than most "non-aviation freaks".

9) Cockpit, left seat
10) Cockpit, right seat
11) Jumpseat

Now without day-dreaming  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Pref. 1 or 2, but anywhere on a plane is good for me.

Forward window. or Exit Row window.

On transatlantic eastbound flights (at night) I like to sit with my back to the bulkhead, so nobody is behind me to bug me by banging the back of my seat.

Has no one mentioned it yet?

Though not a favourite aircraft of mine, why not sit on the left hand side of an EMB145 at row number twelve?

There you have, a window, leg room, aisle seat, food first, out first in an emergency, keep an eye on the wing and pretend its your Bizjet! No I dont do the latter.

Cheers, Steve.

Well it depends on what aircraft I'm on.....

MD-80: in the middle or the front
737/757: right behind the wing so I can see the wings and flaps and spoilers(and sometimes you can see the smoke from the tires on touchdown!)
767:behind or on top of the wing, I love wing flexing!!  Big thumbs up

Any window seat anywhere on the plane. As long as it's a window. That's all I care about. Makes going to the bathroom a bit of a pain in the ass but the view looking out the window is all worth it.

Its better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than be in the air wishing you were on the ground. Fly safe!

Anything else than a middle seat is good for me... though I prefer a window seat over an aisle seat - especially the window seats on last two rows of MD80's  Pissed damn I hate sitting next to a loud engine!

For those of us who chose the Emergence exit as your favorite(like my self) Don't you feel a bit unsafe ? Because the exit is very easy to open. That's why the emergence exit was actually my 8th best choice. Should of been my last choice but I like to take chances ! Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Last row, aisle seat.

- first to board, last to leave (longest time in the aircraft)
- no kids kicking the back of the seat!
- far away from the bulkhead row (often where babies are screaming and crying)
- good vantage point to see everything going on in the cabin
- roughest ride if the flight becomes turbulent  Smile
- close to the galley to obtain beer (important) Big grin
- close to the lavs to discharge beer (also important)  Big thumbs up

Well window seat, about 1 or two rows behind the trailing edge of the wing usually, You get to see all of the control surface movements.

And exception in the Lockheed 188 Electra. I prefered to sit in the back of the place aft of the door. And I prefered the window seat on the side of the aircraft the sun was on.

Between the heat of the sun and the vibrations from those four Allisons, it would put you right out.

I like to sit in the window seat over or behind the wing because I like to see the flaps go down and the speedbrake come up and the over the engine because I like to see it in reverse thrust.
