I just flew MCO to IAH on a CO 752, It was an aircraft swap from a 753. It was completely fitted with PTV's in the BF cabin and the Economy cabin. Being one of the lucky ones in the forward cabin. the BF seats are awesome, the service domestically is standard First.
As for pictures I snapped many pictures in flight on most of my legs on CO. I never have had a Crew member tell me otherwise. I am however taking photos out the window, I have only snapped a few shots of the cabin.
But all in all the 752 is a great airplane and the push you into the back of the seat on takeoff is the way it should be.

I have just booked flights to SFO for April, and the first flight I found was with CO.
The flights went LHR-SFO (CO 777) and SFO-EWR-LHR (757).
No way, I paid the extra and booked with Virgin although the flights have a CO flight number. I double checked though and the flight is operated by Virgin, so something of a relief!
I am sorry, I have heard very bad stories from colleagues who fly BHX-EWR on the 757 in both Economy and First, so I didn't want to take the risk!
Good luck with your flight. Let us know how it goes, it would make an interesting Trip Report.
Raffik - I am also flying Virgin LHR-SFO, although in September - are you on a 747? Any chance of a trip report or some pics to give an indication of what I can exepct. I am returning LAX-LHR (340)

Quoting BHD (Reply 4): Raffik - I am also flying Virgin LHR-SFO
Hi Craig
Yep, booked on the 744 both ways, in Y. Will do a trip report on the flight to let you know what it's like. Not flown with them before so looking forward to it!

Buona sera, Francesco, come stai?
I think you'll really enjoy the 752 across the Atlantic.
Are you in coach? If so, the meals should be decent, for a US-based carrier, and the entertainment is very good.
In BusinessFirst, the seats are very nice, though certainly not lie-flat.
I have taken photos on many Continental flights in the past, and never had anyone say a word to me.

Your money, your choice, but that wouldn't have been my decision.
I love the 747 and all, but not for extra money, and in coach, Virgin isn't said to be anything more than an airplane with a red tail.

Most of the 757's have AVOD systems & power plugs. they are fantastic! and yes, you are allowed to take pictures on CO aircraft.
The 747 will always be the TRUE queen of the skies!

They've all been reconfigured now to have AVOD and AC power outlets at all seats.

1. I don't want to transit through EWR when I can get a direct service home and avoid a layover of 4 hours
2. You critisize Virgin's service, but I can assure you that service on European airlines are higher than that of an American carrier, not only in catering, customer support, inflight entertainment, baggage allowance...
3. The company I work for started flying people to the US after CO opened the BHX route, and the vast majority of those find that Continental's service is below par, in both cabins
4. I didn't pay extra to fly on a 747- I have been on them too many times for it to be a novelty any more.
I paid extra to pay with a better airline with a direct service

I know one thing about CO. The meals are the worst. But they have a good frequent flyer program. Leg room on 767 is 32" which is good. Legroom on 777 is 31" which is bad.
Seat guru will tell you legroom. I flew on a CO 757 from California to New York many years ago and liked the trip.
