Trying to figure out if my flight will have PTV or not. Since EI is having a somewhat gradual conversion of PTV on its A330s, I would like to know if my flight will PTV or not. Is there some website that will tell me the exact a/c i'll be flying in?

I'm not sure, but some members here can find that information. Firstly, though, you'll have to remember that there is no way of being 100% correct on what aircraft you'll be flying in on that exact day until you've actually flown it - mechanical problems do occur, and random aircraft switching do occur.
What is your flight number, your route, and when will you be flying?

Yup yup, I understand that nobody knows for sure. I'm not asking you to hack into EI's database or physically go to the airport, but you know, I'd settle for reasonable certainty I'm flying EI 118 on 6/24/09 and returning on EI 119 on 7/19/09.

Just curious: how will it change your preparation for the trip regardless of the PTV configuration? You could always show up and have inoperative IFE even if it's installed (this is not unheard of), so always be prepared. A book and an iPod go a long way! Have a great trip!

Thanks party pooper! Yeah, I know it happened to me on VX before, but they gave me a lofty $25 gift certificate that I never used. Anyways, it's all good.... I've done some research and it appears that with EI, the lower your standards, the happier you shall be. So, lower standards I have.
