Which airports have you used, but not left the airport? Ie. you've only connected there, arrived and departed both by air but not left the terminal / perimeter?
For me:
MAD - Madrid x6 (2x returns LHR-MAD-JNB and 1x return LHR-MAD-GIG/GRU-MAD-LHR)
DUS - Dusseldorf x1 (STN-DUS-HEL)
VVI - Santa Cruz (Bolivia) x1 (ASU-VVI-LPB)
MXP - Milan x1 (LHR-MXP-CAI)

List of all the airports I've been to are in my profile if anyone is interested.

The only one I can think of at this time is:
RIC during a crazy trip home, routing:
SAN-PHL-RIC-CLT
How about visiting a city, not while flying, but then later flying and connecting in a city?
In that case I have done BWI while going to LGA. Routing was: CLT-BWI-LGA
Also, I have never gone from IAD to the Washington area. I always use DCA for DC sightseeing.

EWR -- This one will come off this list next month (assuming we're talking about New York, and not the actual city of Newark), but I will be flying to LGA.
IAD, sort of. I visited Washington, DC when I was a kid, but we drove there. My only reason for being at IAD was for a connection.

I have been through Chicago many times connecting United and American flights but I have been to the city once. BWI, we landed at Baltimore but took the bus and metro to Washington. Flew into Boise but rented a car and drove to Twin Falls, I don't recall being in Boise though we may have drive right through, How would I know?

The only airport that I have transited in without visiting the city is ICN, but what a beautifully clean, modern terminal building it has! Along with HKG and SIN, ICN is one of my favouirte airports in the world.

So far I have transferred at
NRT
ICN
TPE
without visiting the cities.
ICN and NRT will have to wait a little bit but TPE will be off this list by the beginning of May. I have finally managed to squeeze in a visit to Taiwan during my next trip to SE Asia.
