Web Check In On US Airways: No Seat Choice?

just a quick question.
I am trying to do web check in on a US flight from FRA to PHL for tomorrow.
The system assigns me automatically the seats for the outbound and for the return leg
Is there a way to change it?
Should I check in online and then ask tomorrow at the airport desk for the possibility
of a different seat? Or should I skip the web check in and do the normal check in tomorrow at the airport?
Has anybody had this experience before?

Thanks for your answers
