Okay everyone. I have decided that I am going to Barbados. I leave YYC Monday at around 2PM, and I arrive at BGI sometime around 9PM Tuesday.

The one question I have regards the transit period at DFW. See, I arrive at just a little after 7PM on the Monday, and my flight doesn't leave until 6AM on Tuesday. I have never done a connecting flight in excess of 3 hours beforehand, so I am curious: will they (AA) take my bag off the plane and hold it in transit, or do I need to go to baggage claim, re-check it at DFW for the continuing flight to MIA and BGI, or will it just stay in some holding pen or whatever at DFW for 11 hours?
