Flying From BOS-YUL?

Ok, I have a question that may seem kind of silly. We are going on a cruise from Montreal to Boston that leaves on June 20th. There are 7 of us total, and we are all flying into Boston on the 19th. We plan to fly to Montreal on the 20th early in the morning. Should we even bother connecting through JFK, EWR, or just take a nonstop on Air Canada Jazz? The fare one-way on American Eagle and Delta is $274, Continental $289, and Air Canada is $364. I have not had the pleasure of connecting through JFK or EWR, so I don't know what the prospect of us being on time would look like. American has a flight from BOS-JFK that leaves at 6AM arr. 7:10AM, connecting to the YUL flight that is scheduled to leave at 7:55AM and arrive at 9:42AM. We have to be at the pier around 1-1:30PM. The Delta and Continental flights are almost the exact same times. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

I would make life easier for you and take the direct flight on QK (Jazz). The airports in the north east, can be subject to delays (though the mornings usually are not bad in my experience). Having one flight to get on and off will reduce the chance of an issue coming up. Unless one person is paying for everyone, its only a 90 dollar difference for piece of mind. If one person was paying for everything, well 600+ dollars is now a bit of an issue.

Keep the shinny side up!

Hey thanks for the input. I think we are taking either the first or second Jazz flight, I should know today or tomorrow. I was thinking about it, and it's definitely not worth the trouble for 7 people to connect and risk something going wrong connection wise. Especially since we leaving on the cruise the same day.

If there weren't so many of you, I'd suggest going into PBG then renting a car. Airfares into PBG are much lower than to YUL (even though it's a 9 seat cape air flight)
