Hello,
I see some pretty good rates from India on CX's website. I need to book them for my parents but they do not have a credit card.

If I go through a travel agent they are quoting me more than what the website shows.

Is there a way to book it online without a credit card and pick up the ticket at a Cathay office in India by paying cash?

Thnx.

It looks as if you need a credit card. You may also want to see if your bank , travel agent or money exchanger offer some sort of prepaid credit card.

You're in the USA as well, so you probably know what I'm talking about.

Get the amount of $$ you need on it, and use it towards purchase. A much better alternative than travel agencies, plus you don't have to worry about paying it all back.

Also, just as a side note, it is a great product if your parents are travelling and don't want to bring excess amounts of cash with them. Visa could be accepted wherever their travels may take them, so this way its secure.

Hope that helped at least a bit!

Yes, those fares are Internet only and you can't get them anywhere. I've done that before, you must have a credit card and also once you decide to purchase the tickets on-line I advise you to sign up on-line with CX so you can review your reservation, if you don't, you'll not get any access to your reservation on-line. Just create a user name and password, no payment is involved. it's free.
