You're in the USA as well, so you probably know what I'm talking about.
Get the amount of $$ you need on it, and use it towards purchase. A much better alternative than travel agencies, plus you don't have to worry about paying it all back.
Also, just as a side note, it is a great product if your parents are travelling and don't want to bring excess amounts of cash with them. Visa could be accepted wherever their travels may take them, so this way its secure.

Yes, those fares are Internet only and you can't get them anywhere. I've done that before, you must have a credit card and also once you decide to purchase the tickets on-line I advise you to sign up on-line with CX so you can review your reservation, if you don't, you'll not get any access to your reservation on-line. Just create a user name and password, no payment is involved. it's free.
