I believe the equipment they use are A310s. From what I have heard, the A310 IFE is basic with cieling mounted screens every few rows, and a central monitor in the front of the coach cabin. Seats look basic, and I've heard the auido channels are fine. What I have also heard is that CSAs meals are usually quite good, and they have some knockout flight attendants flying transatlantic... They fly into Newark somtimes, and thier crews always look happy.

I think youll have a good flight!!

JBLU,

Thanks for the info.

I could do without the knockout F/As though...unless they're men.  Smile

Sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will add on though, that apparently one of the A310s has been having frequent technical problems- so be on the lookout. That aside, CSA looks to be a good airline!

We dont hear too much about them, which can be viewed as a good thing because no news is good news- but please do write a trip report if your travelling with them!!

Ahhh, you may have just solved a mystery for me.

I had my eye on the Prague-Newark route, which had been presented to me as an option on Travelocity and Expedia, but when I went to book, that option was no longer offered. I called Delta (their code share partner) and they said they could not find that flight in the system either. So maybe they've scrapped that particular flight, at least for now. (This is for October though.)

Thanks again!

There were two minor events back in March and one in January with landing gear and flaps, which made the a/c turn around back to PRG, stay in NYC respectively. Nothing serious.

I don't think they've canceled the EWR route. What dates are you looking at?

EWR-PRG is operated as OK053 or 073 on Mon, Fri and Sun
PRG-EWR is operated ad OK052 or 072 Mon, Fri, Sun
JFK-PRG is operated as OK0051 daily.

Try to call CSA's NY office: 800-223-2365 or try their online booking http://www.czechairlines.com although I managed to get all the way through on Expedia

L410,

Ah, you know what? I had originally planned to fly on Friday but then changed it to Sat...when that flight is not offered! I could have sworn CSA's web site showed it as a daily, but I must have misread it.

Thanks for letting me know! I appreciate it.
