According to this article (in Spanish) Spanair is looking for a new logo, livery and all over company image. This comes as JK has been acquired by a group of Catalan investors planning to reposition it as the leading carrier at BCN. Both employees and customers can elect one of the two logos posted below (until May 10th).

Both have been designed by Morillas Brand Design

You may vote for the new logo at www.spanair.com (Spanish site)

Wonder what the corresponding liveries look like...

I like the orange and blue combination as it's more likely to produce an interesting livery but both designs remind me of telephone company logos for some reason.

Those to proposed ones look very nice, I always thought the JK livery looked a bit oldy. Will they introduce a new livery too?

I dislike both, wayyyyyy too generic.....if I had to choose, I guess I would choose the all-blue one as it is cleaner. The blue and orange one reminds me of Turkish for some reason.

Plus the text used on the blue one looks much nicer than the other one.

Isn't the font and the color combo of the first logo pretty much the same as Lufthansa? The second one reminds me of Dreamliner for some reason, but to me looks really boring. They both do. If I had to pick I'd say the second one, just because they might have more potential to do something cool with that one once they actually paint their planes.

Judging from what the logos will most probably look like tickets, boarding passes and so on, I like the orange logo better... maybe they should combine the orange logo with the other font...

I think that would look nice, the orange is the only reason I like the first logo as it adds a bit of colour but the font is really cheap looking whereas the second logo is very boring but the font is much smarter would look quite good with the orange.

Is it just me, or does the font with the orange logo look familiar to LH?

I was thinking that too. It looks very similar to LH.

The orange and blue, hands down. The orange gives the overall image a nice kick that the other logo doesn't offer.

Both logos look boring and not very innovative to me.

The orange one looks like LH and the blue-white looks like a futuristic version SAS.

I voted for the orange one, people will remember a logo much better then some curved line!

Nothing's worse then flying the same registration twice, except flying it 4 times..

Would have hoped that more of a choice would be offered. Or a contest similar to the Alaska Airlines competition. Since there are only two, most assured orange and blue(mundo).

No, it's not just you... it looks like an affiliate of LH though the best logo of the two.

Vote: logo # 1

I have immediately visited the page and....saw the two choices. To my surprise, one of the options is extremly similar to that of Lufthansa : same type of wrtitting, same color...and a rounded orange logo. From my point of view the only thing missing is the Crane to cry Bingo !

My question is : Is that legal ? Is there no other way to create a new identity than copying one that is recognisable all around the world ?

I home this option is not the one winning the survey...

cheers

It's true, the orange logo does look quite similar to the Sony Ericsson logo - I reckon a sortof hybrid orange one with the font of the blue line one would look rather nice...
