I haven't read any bad press about the performance of T5 lately so shall I assume that all glitches have been fixed and operations are normal.

We are looking to be connecting from BA (T5) to AA (T3) (and back) and are a bit concerned about our luggage not finding its way to the second flight within the two hour stay at LHR.

Not to scare you, but I personally avoid CDG and LHR at all costs... But I think AA to BA will connect well, so not to worry... Just don't get lost yourself....  Smile

BA currently have one of the best baggage performances at LHR.

I have connected a few times in the last year AA to BA and the other way round (incl a 1hr 30 connection) and bags made it on ALL trips.

No need to worry!

Cheers

Provided you transfer to another BA flight within T5 and there is a favourable wind the above may be true.

Only once have I ever been separated from my luggage, and that was at LHR. If you are changing terminals expect the best, but plan for the worst.

Heathrow needs an enema.

Have transferred several times at LHR and lhave changed terminals and I have never missed any luggage. So it really depends on your luck. I wouldn't worry but I would take a small hand luggage with some stuff in it...Who knows. But I do that for every flight even for nonstop flights.

Next flights : BRU-ZRH-CAI (LX)/ BRU-FCO-TLV (AZ)

I do the BA/AA shuffle about 5-6 times per year, most recently on an ALG-LHR-ORD hop. My connections are usually around 2 hours, but have been 1h30 before. Never had a problem.
