Hi All,
I've been searching for flights from LAX to either CLE or CAK for awhile now but I have limited options. Me and my girlfriend will be arriving at LAX on December 23rd at 7:15 from Taipei on BR16. I need to make a connection that night to arrive in CLE or CAK on the morning of the 24th. How long will I need to connect in LAX. Mind you, my girlfriend has a Taiwanese passport so it usually takes her a long time for immigration. Also, what would be the best bet to get to CLE or CAK. Right now, I only see UAL through ORD or Delta through ATL.

Continental Airlines operates non-stop to CLE with departures at 10:30am, 3pm, and 11pm. The flight is 4 hours duration with 3 hour time change to CLE. I would suggest a minimum of 1:30 connect time in LAX for but additional time would be advised. Continental operates out of Terminal 6.

Quoting Surrenr (Reply 3): The price for a 1 way on the CO direct to CLE is around 500USD per person.
Depending on season and advance purchase the CLE-LAX-CLE roundtrip is almost always somewhere beteen $390 and $450 every time I've booked it -- about 6x per year.
The exact time for the 11 pm flight (634) can move slightly from season to season, it seems (11:00, 11:15) but it works well and is fairly immune (IME) from schedule disruptions. Every time I do it I swear I'll never do it again (redeyes aren't my thing) but every time I'm in CA it's the option that works best for my schedule,
