I'll be flying the new MSY-MEX route this August with a friend of mine. Basically we're doing it to show our support for the new service. In terms of in flight service, what can we expect? It's a 0630 departure from MSY and a 1945 return. Would a full meal be served on the ERJ's? Open bar I presume? Thanks for any and all information!

Hey MSYtristar! I did AUS-MEX on the ERJ-145 last year (January). The departure was scheduled for around 2 or 3 p.m. (but had a one hour or so delay). I believe we were fed a ham and cheese croissant sandwich, a bag of peanuts or chips (not exactly sure), and maybe a cookie (¿?). As for drinks, we were offered soft drinks, coffee and beer. I am not entirely sure there was a larger selection of alcoholic drinks (which is the norm on mainline and on the E-190 jets).
I think it is very cool that you will be supporting the AM service. Would you be interested in me treating you and your buddy to a drink while you are in MEX?
