I am traveling on United next week and have some questions…
1.) I was wondering whether the 772s on the LAX- LHR routes have AVOD?
2.) Do the 763 from ZRH to IAD have AVOD?
3.) Does United compare on international flights?
4.) What terminal does United use at Heathrow?

Quoting Dantegb (Thread starter): 1.) I was wondering whether the 772s on the LAX- LHR routes have AVOD?
Aircraft rotate throughout the route network all the time, so there is no specific ship# that flies LAX-LHR.
That having been said, no UA 777 has AVOD, so no AVOD on LAX-LHR.
In what regard?? I've never been in Y on UA internationally, but in F and C their new product is quite nice. I've only done it twice now but I hope to again soon. The food service, however, is remarkably inferior to that of DL and AA. Again, this is only in reference to the premium cabins, I'm not sure how their coach services compare to others.

Quoting Transpac787 (Reply 1): I was just there so I should know this, but I'm not 100% sure. I *think* it's T4 though.

T1 just was there sunday
UA moved from T3 to T1 last July (along with NZ). Several other Star carriers have moved to T1 more recently, including LX last week (from T2). I think LH just moved from T2 yesterday. All Star Alliance carriers plan to be in T1 by 2013. After the recent moves, the 21 Star carriers serving LHR are roughly evenly split between T1 and T3.

Thanks for all the useful information, sad to hear that United has no AVOD in Y. Thank you so much for awnsering all my questions!!
