How long should I plan on to get from a WN flight with checked bags to the Amtrak station at BWI on a Saturday morning? Is 1:05 enough? 2:05 seems like it is clearly long enough, but I'd love to do the shorter "connection."
And, relatedly, am I correct that MARC doesn't run on Saturdays and thus that my only option for getting to D.C. is Amtrak?

From what I remember, it only takes a few minutes to get from the terminal at BWI to the Amtrak station, but the last time I did it was 22 years ago, so my memory may be clouded! I'm sure there are others that can help who have more local, and probably more importantly, more recent knowledge!!

Correct.

The shuttle buses to amtrak from terminal run every 10min during normal hours, every 20min in the off hours.
You will most likely spend more time waiting for your bags in baggage claim than getting from the terminal to Amtrak. If you have 1 hour starting when you get your bags, you have more than enough time. Its a ~10 minute ride.

Its not the ONLY way. Metro, i believe its the B30 bus but not 100%sure, runs from BWI-Greenbelt metro station, where you can take Metro anywhere in DC. Not saying its the quickest way, but its a way. It beats the hell out of driving yourself.
