Hello all, I've been looking for flights to TRW (Tarawa, Kiribati), but could not find any at lastminute.com, viajar.com or viajeselcorteingles.com...etc. Knowing that the airport's code is TRW, I assume that there must be some airline service to this remote pacific country. Could any of you help me finding a way to travel there? also, if there's anyone how had been there, could you share your experiences, please?

Looks like you have to get to Nadi (NAN) first, and then fly Air Pacific.
I'd try getting to LAX, then fly Air Pacific LAX-NAN-TRW.
Alternatively, CO Micronesia flies to NAN from HNL.

Air Pacific fly twice weekly to Tarawa from Nadi on Tuesdays and Thursdays using B737. Get to LAX, jump on Air Pacific to Nadi. Once you get into Nadi, you will have just over 2 hours transit then on the aircraft to Tarawa...

Air Pacific can get you there from Nadi - probably your best choice. Air Pacific connects to (among other places) HKG, which is probably your best bet coming from Europe (unless you go west, in which case they also fly to LAX and (I think) HNL)

You could go MAD-ICN-NAN with KE and then NAN-TRW on FJ
MAD-ICN 12hrs 20mins
ICN-NAN 10hrs 10mins
NAN-TRW 3hrs 0 mins
I also believe, if you talk to your travel agent, if you are transfering through ICN and your flight isnt until the next day, you get a free knights accom. in ICN.
I hope this has helped!

In regards to that, I had an itinerary on DL back in October BUD-JFK October 12th, JFK-MIA October 13th. Delta said they do not provide accommodation. Should I have gone higher with my request instead of paying $285 for a night in Manhattan? Of course, there are cheaper hotels near JFK but I wanted Manhattan. Still, had free accommodation been provided, I wouldn't have refused.
