Here's the situation: arriving late on a Friday evening (after 23:00) at LGW on a BA flight; next flight is BA across the pond the next morning (Saturday) at 10:50.

My choices: Stay at hotel at LGW (South Terminal), National Express coach in the morning to LHR T5; or Private car transfer to LHR-area hotel, short trip in the morning to T5.

Price is about the same for either option . . . what would you do in this instance? Thanks!

Definately go for the latter if it's roughly the same price - the car transfer will be quicker than the coach and give you much more time to spend asleep in your hotel room.

I totally agree. It's best to sleep as close as possible to the airport you're leaving from. This should be considerably less stressful in the morning.
