I am book to fly STL-DFW-JAC in September. We are scheduled to get into DFW at 5pm and our flight to JAC is scheduled to leave at 5:45pm. I am not familar with DFW airport (i.e. on-time flights, delays ect.) and was wondering if a 45 min. connection time is sufficient......

Easily. The Skylink will get you around terminals in 10 minutes, at the absolute most (i.e. if you had to go to the 2nd C terminal stop from the first B terminal stop). DFW is easily the best hub to connect in the country.

Agree, that's plenty of time; the skylink inside the security zone and above the gates gets you anywhere in the airport within 5 minutes, and getting to/from any gate to the skylink is another 5 minutes. So total figure 15 minutes max between gates, with the average being 10.
Other than the afternoon thunderstorms in the summer, I love connecting through DFW.
