I would like some opinion on whether to travel AA or UA to MIA in a few days. It will be a last minute booking, and I would like to connect in ORD. I want to book Business, and was wondering if the AA 757's operating ORD-MIA would have the upgraded Business seats and how they are comapred to UA 757's. I am travelling to/from YYZ.

Well since UA no longer flys Mainline to MIA even from ORD you wont have a business class to upgrade to on UA. UA flys two daily E-170s on ORD-MIA while AA flys 9 daily 757s. Depends on the 757 but many of there first class is not that nice and look pretty old. AA 757s or at least all the ones I have been on are two class only. So I am not sure what your chances are of upgrading to first on AA. If you fly UA you will fly a 170 down but you will get to see brand new Concourse J at MIA. If you fly AA you get a larger plane but I am not sure if it more comfortable since I have never flown on a 170 but I am not a fan of AA's 757's.
I say go with what ever is cheaper unless you have a good shot of upgrading to first on AA.
