My other topic was removed due to lack of detail, so I hope this is better.
I want to know if Icelandair would be a good choice of airline to travel on between YYZ-LHR. How is the stopover is KEF? Any experiences, TR's, knoweldge of the airline is appreciated. They are not an incredibly well known airine so I want to know more before I book with them.
I am particularly interested in information on their long-haul product between N. America and KEF.
Lastly, is Saga class worth the additional fare and what can I expet in that cabin (very little information on icelandair.com).
If you don't stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them.

I flew Icelandair a few years ago. They offered a really good service back then. The meals where fine and their seats where great. I do not have any experience with transfering at KEF.
As said, this was a few years back. I know they have stopped meal services and at least a big part of the fleet is now offering the new interior. The airline is fine, I think you can safely book your trip on Icelandair.
I know their once was a trip report covering the new interior and service. I will see if I can find it back.

PlymSpotter's excellent trip report from back in March should be what you're looking for. He sat in Economy I believe, but gives a very good description of the service and IFE.
FI has experienced quite the surge in interest here on A.net recently, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see several more TRs on a variety of destinations and cabins in the coming months (including one by yours truly... )

AIRLINERS.NET CREW CHAT OPERATOR
You won't regret it, I had a great experience on AMS-KEF and back in ' 08 even with the old interior everything was in order. The ground crew at KEF we're very friendly and so we're the F/As. The food was alright but their overal product was great. Plus it's something a little more special then flying BA or AC I think. (Just too bad they renamed the plane I flew on)
Nothing's worse then flying the same registration twice, except flying it 4 times..

Having flown Saga Class a few times between LHR-KEF, I'll comment on that seeing no one has said anything.
They do offer three classes. I believe on the TA section, food will be complementary in Economy, but BOB on the KEF-LHR leg. They offer a premium economy/intra-European business class as well where the seats are standard economy but in 2x2. You have an upgraded meal.
Their Saga class are akin to any good domestic F/C cabin with permanent 2x2 seats, they have some recline but nowhere near any of the old recliner C-seats. The food is better, etc... but never been very good on FI. Seat pitch is decent. Their lounge at KEF is quite good and does have showers. Worth the extra cost? How much is it?
