Why are 3rd party sites like Orbitz selling the LHR-BRU flights for this coming winter (Jan Feb etc) but United.com isn't selling tickets? Can anybody shed light on this.
In addition, the price is out of control with the fare being $1012 for a very short flight. I would like to take advantage of this flight this coming January but not for this price and also would like to book on United.com. Any help out their? Would like to see the price around $300 or so.

Why do you need to book at ual.com? Are you getting DEQM? The flight would be operated by BD so usually it is difficult to book a codeshare without being part of another route, i.e. such as US-EUR//EUR.
Why do you not check out flybmi.com, or do like most europeans, use Eurostar.

If you read the fine print it is a BMI flight ie the dates I serched it was BD145 and UA 4822 and if you see UA with anything over a 1499 flight number and under 9799 it is a code share flight, and I have no Idea why UA is selling it for that much when BMI is selling the same flight for $81.
Side note UA actually used to fly LHR-BRU with a 767 as a tag on when they did not fly non-stop from the states and before alliances and code shares

UA is operating 1x daily flight between LHR-BRU with the 777. The routing is SFO-LHR-BRU.

Yes it is bookable on Orbitz.com for example among other travel sites.

I'm talking about the UA operated flights and not the BMI codeshare flights:
LHR-BRU UA 929 777 aircraft
BRU-LHR UA 938 777 aircraft

My guess is that normally you are not allowed to book the UA codeshare flight w/out connecting to a UA flight. i.e. Cant book UA48XX LHR-BRU only. I bet that the United.com folks failed to realalize that we have entered the market ourselves. I bet you someone in the know will read this and get that fixed. It's lost revenue to UA.
You can book it in Apollo, United's res system.

This is most likely just an IATA fare, valid on any carrier between LON and BRU. As UA obviously hasn't filed point to point levels between LHR and BRU, the flight is not bookable on ual.com while travel agents etc. will quote you the cheapest available fare (which is the IATA level).
You can always wait & hope that UAL will file ptp fares... in case they don't file these fares, you'll have to stick to either BA & BD from LHR or SN from LGW (maybe a good chance to fly an Avro RJ85/100, which is usually used on the afternoon flight while the morning flight is a mix of A319/B737/ARJ).
