gang,
quick question. chances are pretty high that i'll be flying either JFK or ATL to MAD this fall on Delta. i was just wondering what Delta's 763s and 764s are like in coach? i've flown on Northwest A333s to Europe before and they were pretty decent. i'm hoping Delta's 767s are up to snuff! thanks for any info you can provide...

The Boeing 767-300ER product is decent in my opinion. The seats are not the newest and there are no PTVs, just old-fashioned CRT screens with a rather low image quality. The B767-400ER looks very nice- AVOD in Y. I think DL is installing new seats, but I have no additional info about that. Catering was agreeable on my latest flight with them and the content of the IFE was OK, too.
Et là tu montes encore plus haut et ça persiste, alors on vole

Delta's 767 is my favourite for Transatlantics.....some might say that's must be because I don't get out much.....but I stick by it....just the two seats on the outside of the aisles is a plus too.

My nephew did JFK-MAD this past June in the B763 and thought it was fine. Decent legroom, food was fine, and due to him sleeping for the most part, the lack of PTV wasn't an issue for him. However the ride back to JFK from BCN in the B764 with AVOD and the Weber simlines was a step up.

Quoting DeltaHolland (Reply 4): they have been running 777ER's on this route a few times a week. Not sure if they still do it now,
Yes, the 777 has been flying between JFK and MAD during the summer, but it seems that for the fall season the 763 will be operating all JFK-MAD-JFK flights as an the past.
All flights between ATL and MAD will remain being flown with 764s.
I used to fly between MAD-ATL/JFK quite often a few years back, and I have to say that I never had a single complaint about Delta's service. Crossed the pond about 14 times with them (also flew them in many domestic US flights as well as US-Central America sectors) and always enjoyed my flights with them.
