I'm flying to SIN next month, and I will have 2x1 night stays at the Crown Plaza. I'll have a few hours to kill, so whats accessible land-side? I'm thinking about places to eat and do a bit of spotting.

You can spot from your room if you want to. Just request for a high floor that overlooks the B-gates tarmac and 02L/20R.
There's the usual fastfood - Maccas, Burger King aka Hungry Jacks & Popeye Chicken (No KFC). Several coffeeshops, Starbucks, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Coffee Club, Yakun & Kiliney Rd. There's the hotel coffee house, Azure. Couple of Chinese restaurants ranging from the Crystal Jade Chain to the more upmarket Imperial Treasure.
