Dear Airliners.net members,

I'm curious: How many flight attendants does your airline have on every flight? Please write aircraft type and how many of the c/a who work in FC, BC, EC (and PEC or E+C). Has the staffing level changed over the times? If yes, how much? How do you experience that?

Kind regards,

In terms of short haul I think its safe to say LCCs crew to the minimum levels required, ie 1 FA for every 50 seats.

For BA shorthaul, I'm pretty certain that for the most part they crew to the minimum required level as well, apart from shorter flights where extra FAs are thrown on to help with the service. LGW-JER certainly carries 4 FAs (5 on the 737-400) when only 3 are required. I'm sure the situation is similar for the MAN and Scotland shuttles. I'm sure someone from crewing would have much more specific knowledge though!

Gale force fog... don't you love it?
