Hi everyone, I've just been searching for LHR-EZE trip for dates 26/03/10-10/04/10 and the cheapest return fares including all charges and taxes I'm getting are:

AZ £544 on A320/B772
AF £546 on A320/B773
What would you choose?
Both fares are very good considering it's Easter travel, both are red eye flights both ways and on similar aircraft (AVOD on their 777). I have traveled before on AF long haul but never tried AZ and am really curious about their service. Excuse my ignorance but how is Alitalia doing these days, I know they've been in constant trouble over the last several years, many predicted their demise but they're still around. In other words would you book Alitalia for travel in 7 months time?
Thanks for your opinions.
Radek.

I'd go for AZ just to avoid the "pleasure" of transferring at CDG. I have flown AZ's 777 last November to JFK and their service was quite good.
If you want to try both expedia.de is offering combination of flying with AZ there via FCO and back via CDG with AF.
Tha fare is 618 EUR (544 GBP).

Plus, if I am not mistaken, AZ hass 3-3-3 Y seating on its 777s, in opposition with 3-4-3 on AF´s 77Ws.

Regards,

Thanks for that, would be great to get AZ as well as AF on this trip. The price apparently went up, I'm getting EUR680 as the cheapest fare on expedia.de, I will consider paying a bit more to be able to fly both airlines.

I went first to http://www.swoodoo.com/de/ but now it really does show 678 EUR as the cheapest option.
Also pay really good attention to connection times because most itineraries include at least one 8-12 hours long layover at FCO or CDG.  faint
One of the few exceptions is combination of AZ207/AZ680 there and AZ681/AZ202 back where the connecting times are around 2 hours.
