Good day all - hope some of you CX buffs can help me.
I have an elderly relative travelling JNB/HKG/AKL/HKG/JNB in December 2009 in Y.
Firstly, I notice the 777 originally scheduled for the JNB/HKG/JNB flight has now changed to a 744 acording to the CX website. When will this change take place and is it just seasonal?
Secondly, she has a gammy leg due to nerve damage after a motor accident, and needs a little extra leg-room, especially in view of the CX "sliding seats". Which seat in Y would best suit her needs and can it be pre-booked.
Many thanks

I think for the last couple of years they have been swapping in 744 in part of the northern winter schedule and then revert back to the 340 in the summer, so this sounds like it is a seasonal change only. As for the seat, yes I think you can get an exit row provided you state this special health condition/requirement and ask early.

My understanding of a "gammy leg" is that there is a problem with the leg and this would limit mobility. Not someone you want in an exit row seat.
After Monday and Tuesday even the calendar says WTF...
