We ran into a strange problem. My wife wants to fly with her mother from Lima to Brasilia in November with TACA/TAM. Many web pages offer these flights. Whenever it comes to booking, the systems crash or end with strange error messages. We contacted several of them and got no response. Now, one site told us:
"We can see that you have been trying to book flights with neither departure or arrival in Germany or even Europe. Due to this the system classifies this as an fraud attempt and has blocked out the creditcard payment for security reasons. The system is very strict because there has been many creditcard frauds including these kinds of bookings.
Unfortunately we can not affect on this in any way and in this case we can only recommend you to contact the airline directly or to make the booking through an other travel agency that make bookings manually. "
We already phoned several travel agencies, but they also book over internet nowadays. Now my simple question: How is it possible to book this flight? TACA web page does not offer Brasilia, and TAM has an office in Frankfurt, are very polite and offer to call back but never do so...

Have you tried bookng through Opodo, expedia or the like? Usualy they sell on behalf and buying via CC in england or US (where opodo or expedias finance side resides) should be no problem.

Thanks, the like yes. Idealo as portal, Seat24 and TerminalA had fine offers and both ended during booking, after checking there were free seats, even asked for credit card and then sorry an error occured... Forget who was the third. Seat24 didn't ask the creidit card. Tried Opodo and Expedia now, both send them around South America with many stops when there is a simple connection that does it in about 10-12 hours...

Have you tried pricing LIM-GRU and GRU-BSB separately in each website?

It's unfortunate that they're flying in November. TAM is migrating to Amadeus in two weeks, so if the trip wasn't in so short notice, you could wait a few days and try again.
