Your opinion is needed on a tight connection.
I will arrive on BKK at 09:55am and I have two flights to choose from to continue to KUL (no checked-luggage, and most likely with a boarding pass already from web check-in):
MH785 BKK-KUL 11:05-14:15 or
FD3573 BKK-KUL 12:05-15:10.
Depending on the above flight, I will have accordingly time in KUL to transit to flight:
MH613 KUL-SIN 17:30-18:25 (booked already).
The trick is I will have to pick my bag up in the luggage storage area in KUL, and check-in for MH613.
Do you think it is sufficient time in either BKK to transit between my 09:55am arrival and MH785 (1:10h) or between FD3573 and MH613 (2:20h) in KUL to arrive at the Low Cost Terminal, transfer to the International Terminal, get the luggage and check-in for MH613?

I would choose MH as you are more secure in that MH should be able to issue both boarding passes incl your KUL-SIN sector and should your BKK-KUL connection be delayed - they should be able to put you on a later KUL-SIN flight. Using FD would open you up to all sorts of possible missed connections as FD/AK doesn't interline.

thanks for the suggestions. By the time you replied I had already purchased the FD (Thai Air Asia) ticket, and to be safe I delayed my connection to SIN to the 19:30 flight. This gave me about 4.5h to transit in KUL. I just arrived back home, and all flights were perfectly on time, so any solution would have worked. But hard to predict upfront
The MH flight out of BKK was too tight (1:10h) if the inbound flight was delayed. FD gave me 2h time in BKK, enough to cater for a small delay and I didn't have any checked baggage.
If anyone is looking for the transit time in KUL betwen the LCCT to the Int'l terminal, I would say you need min 20 min or up to 60 min depending if you go by cab or bus. I really like KUL as an airport, however the link between the two terminals needs to be reconsidered.
