I will be traveling to Paris next month on AF 83/84 from SFO. AF is running a A332 and A343 on this route during the Winter months. I will be flying economey and would like to know is there a noticeable difference between the two aircraft in terms of seat comfort.

I've been on both and there is basically no difference in economy. Just beware of the IFE boxes under the seats impairs legroom quite a bit. I believe the windows seats and the middle seats have the boxes underneath them. Check seatguru.com to be sure. Both have a 2-4-2 configuration however the last 3 or 4 rows are 2-3-2 across. If you get the first row of 3 and aisle seat you get a few more inches to stretch your legs. The downside is the armrests don't move.

Agree, you wont notice too much differences. But if one go to a more detailed level, some AF A343 were in the fleet well before the A332 making the latter a tad bit more comfortable:
- less Y capacity
- better designed seat in Y
- slightly larger PTV
- seat back in grey making the cabin a bit more brighter than in the A343.

This could be the only difference.
I prefer the A332 over the A343 for that reason, as some A343 are now getting really old ... and you can tell !
Take the A332 on one leg and the A343 on the other one ... you'll be able to compare and tell us what do you think !
