I have searched the forum and haven't been able to find much information regarding service and on this flight so forgive me if the topic has been discussed before.
I have just booked a ticket on AA to fly BOS-LHR-BOS over x-mas, stricly on a whim 'cause I was searching on Oritz and that flight was $200-$300 cheaper than anyone else. Based on everything I've read and my experience on AA domestic flights I would never imagine myself flying AA on a TATL route especially on the "jurasic" B763 but when multiplied by 3 and at such late time the price was too good to pass up. So my questions are about food service.
The outbound leg is the day flight which leaves BOS at 9am. AA.com just states the meal service in Y as "breakfast snack or brunch". What should I expect on this flight in terms of meal service? What exactly is "breakfast snack or brunch"? I don't usually eat airplane meals, chosing instead to eat a decent meal before and after the flight but I've never taken a TATL flight in the middle of the day before. Even the return flights usually leave after lunch and arrive back in time for dinner. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Airplane food, regardless of class or carrier, still leaves much to be desired. However, enjoy your flight on AA to London.  airplane

I agree entirely which is why I often chose to eat before or after the flight. However, there are plenty of airlines that do serve fairly decent meals in Y. The thing that's unique about this flight and why I'm a little concerned is that it is a 9am departure which won't even give me much time for a decent breakfast, and with a 5 yo on hand I'm considering packing a lunch or gabbing some take-out  Smile

I did a late eve departure to LHR ex JFK on AA116 lately and found the food on AA pretty generous. 2 choices of hot meal available including a small side salad and some cracker. Drinks served throughout the flight (alcohol is charged for). Before landing I got a breakfast which was poor when it comes to quantity: just a small croissoint and a juice.
Seatpitch with AA is good, and I would definitely fly them again on a TATL service!
