I might be there for like 40 hours either today and tomorrow or tomorrow and thursday. Any ideas?

A) Take a tour of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. Roam around the boring city.

B) I keep reading in things like Delta's Sky Magazine that SLC is just 40 minutes from the nearest ski resort. Rent yourself a set of skiis or snowboard and hit the slopes! Then you can take the obligatory tour of the Church of Latter-Day Saints the next day.

The proper term is "on final" not "on finals" bud...

My wife & I did that several years ago. There is a free shuttle in the arrivals area outside that will take you to Mormon Temple Square, and back to the airport.

In the city itself, there's quite a bit to see and look at. There's the zoo, many museums, many excellent restaurants, and an excellent transportation system to get you there.

To the north of SLC, you can go to Lagoon, or head even further north to Ogden, if you are a fan of railroads and railroading. These can be reached via FrontRunner or bus.

Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.

I ended up walking Downtown, visited the state capitol, etc. It's nice.

Go SKIING! Great areas to ski within 45 minutes of downtown.

Yup, I drove by Park City, but I had NOTHING to go skiing... No pants, jackets, gloves, otherwise I would have found a room or something up there.
