OK, trying to overcome immigration questions during exit of SJO, here's a question I've just been thinking about for a while: Which seats should I take? For my flights on the MX A318 (MEX-SJO) and LH 747 (LH 499 MEX-FRA), seats 6D and 36H are entered respectively in my itinerary, apparently just as placeholders which I can change during check-in. My LH A321 flight (FRA-HAM) has no such placeholder. In any case, I'll re-confirm my reservation a week before just in case.
I've been looking in Seatguru and noticed the following: On the A318, row 6 doesn't look bad, in fact it seems to be a nice row, however I'd prefer to change my seat to 6A or 6F, as long as it's window (I'd have a nice look at the wing and the engine, I've never sat up ion economy front before). On the 747 however, even if I change from 36H to 36A or 36K, all what I'd be seeing during daylight is the wing and the sky, and I'd like to have some view around. On the A321, as long as I can avoid at least rows 16 through 24 (which are mostly directly next to the window and thus don't give me a nice view), any window seat will do.
Any suggestions on which seats are best for all three flights? It has to be economy though, as I sincerely doubt they'll even think about upgrading me for free (I don't even have an FFP card).

Also look at "seatexpert.com". Click on "Browse by Airline". No MX layouts but LH diagrahm's are very thorough with dynamic seat/window comments and color codes.
On the A321, row 24 is aft of the wing (considered an exit row at L3 door) and beginning with row 40 and aft on the 744 should afford you good views unobstructed by the wing.
Rows 54 and 55 are the two seat rows on the 744, but you can't lean against the window due to open space between the wall and seat B, but a bit roomier and wide open window views.....if you don't mind being in the back and more jostling from turbulence if it occurs. Avoid row 56.
I hope this info is helpful.
