CI TPE - FRA @ 5831 mi / 5067 nm came to my mind first, but after a while I found some routes to GRU were considerably longer with
LX ZRH - GRU @ 5957 mi / 5177 nm
and LH MUC - GRU @ 6112 mi / 5311 nm

They flew it for a short time after they received the leased A340-300 from SQ in 2003/09.

China Airlines Launches Dynasty Supreme Class
May 6, 2004, Taipei, Taiwan
China Airlines evolved into a milestone with the completed introduction of Dynasty Supreme Class in all of its self-owned A340-300 aircraft. The retrofit on all self-owned A340-300 will be completed by the end of May.
China Airlines began to upgrade its business class cabin in July 2003 when it introduced the sixth A340-300 aircraft. China Airlines started the retrofit all of its self-owned six A340-300 aircraft beginning in February 2004. A vote among Dynasty Flyer Program members chose the brand Dynasty Supreme Class to reflect the high standards of this superb new business class.
The newly-redesigned Dynasty Supreme Class features a 60-inch pitch and seats that lie almost flat, with a 150 degree recline. The renovated cabin is in a 2-2-2 configuration, with no luggage compartment above the center seats, providing passengers with a sense of spaciousness. Back and seat cushions can be adjusted to conform to individual needs, allowing business travelers to arrive at their destinations in rested comfort.
In addition, each seat has a 10.4-inch touch-screen television, 110V re-charger for PCs, and a satellite phone. With the latest upgrade of the airline's AVOD (Audio Video On Demand) entertainment system, passengers can now choose from more than 20 movie and short feature titles, 30 CDs and 15 video games.
The newly upgraded A340-300s feature 30 seats in Dynasty Supreme Class and 246 seats in economy class. The A340-300 fleet serves Frankfurt, Rome, New York, and Honolulu, and will fly to Seattle and Houston starting June 22.
China Airlines will introduce A330-300 aircraft with the new Dynasty Supreme Class beginning in June. The A330-300 fleet will eventually total 14 aircraft, all featuring the new Dynasty Supreme Class, which will replace the A300-600R aircraft on Asian regional routes. Three of the first new A330-300s will be used on routes from Kaohsiung to Southeast Asia, making China Airlines the only carrier offering an upgraded business class from southern Taiwan.
China Airlines Increases Flights to Seattle, Houston and Rome
December 13, 2004, Taipei, Taiwan
After introducing two Boeing 747-400 passenger jets and one Airbus 330-300 jet in December, China Airlines will increase flight frequencies to Seattle, Houston and Rome, and change to larger aircraft types on several routes, at the beginning of 2005.
The CI 016/015 Taipei-Seattle-Houston route, which was inaugurated just 6 months ago, will be increased from 3 flights to 4 flights per week. The CI 067/068 Taipei-Bangkok-Rome route, with 3 weekly flights, will be increased to 4 weekly flights.
The 276-seat A340-300 aircraft now serving CI 012/011, the Taipei-New York route, will be switched to a B747-400 with 397 seats, an increase in seat capacity of 44%. The thrice-weekly CI 181/182 Taipei-Delhi route will use an A340-300.
China Airlines currently flies to 48 passenger and cargo destinations in 22 nations. By the end of 2004, China Airlines will operate a fleet of 63 modern aircraft, including 47 passenger jets and 16 freighters. The average age of its fleet will be just 5.8 years.

Quoting SA7700 (Reply 8): I flew JFK-JNB on SA, just last week.... 12825km, 7969mi, 6925nm
Was that on a 343 or a 346? I don't think the 343 has those kind of legs. Heck even a 346 would have to be severely weight restricted for that flight.

Will they have overflight rights for China, or will they have to route around? I presume that was the original reason for EVA's TPE-BKK-LHR flight taking the BKK stop on a Southerly route.

I mean 'real world' range. Not nominal range, because we both know that the OEMs give 'nominal range' with passengers/bags only. An A343 can't fly a 7,000nm scheduled flight with any regularity that hasn't been weight restricted tremendously.
Wow. So Airbus added close to another 30,000lbs to the MTOW just to get another 150nm? It's really incredible when you consider a 77W flies a tad bit further, with as more pax and cargo (or at least equal), while hauling around 60,000lbs less 'dead' weight than the A346HGW.
