I´m headed for Vienna i April and I´ve planned to make a tripreport on my flights with Austrian Airlines and their Fokker 100. I have flew with Austrian before and you can choose a seat while booking. I have planned to record the take-off and landing so my question is, which is the best seat to choose? I would prefer to se both the engine and the wing. I´m afraid to choose a seat so I just can se the engine and nothing more.
I´m also wondering if runway 34 is the most usuable runway? I have flew to Vienna several times and I think we only used the 34 for take-off and landing. it wold be nice to see the airport while landing and not just countryside.

Rows 18 or 19. Maybe row 20 if others are not available, but 20 may have slightly blocked view due to engine nacelle. Avoid row 21 - no window.
Sorry I can't answer your VIE Runway 34 question.
However, the F100 is a nice ride. In the back you'll enjoy the whine of the RR Tay's particularly on takeoff, and I actually preferred the F100 over a DC-9. Fly it while you can - not many left in service.
Best Wishes for a great trip. I am sure Austrian will treat you right.

This past Friday I flew on OS from ARN to ZRH through VIE on the F100 (ARN-VIE) and the F70 (VIE-ZRH)
I had seat 18F on the ARN-VIE sector and that seat was good. I could both see the engine and the wing, but I would have preferred seat 19F rather to see a little bit more of the engine. On the F70 I had seat 15A which was just perfect.
We landed on RWY 16 at VIE and took off from RWY 29.
Just one more thing, you will love the sound of the engine! It is fantastic. Loved it.

Well, we have plenty here in MEX and you get full AAdvantage miles when flying them, LOL. Also have 717 which are a great replacement of the old F100s.
