KL WBC Seating ATL-AMS-ADD Help Needed

Hello all,

I purchased a world business class ticket on KLM for this coming July. I will be flying from Atlanta, GA to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and back via Amsterdam.

The transatlantic flights are operated by Delta and the flights to and from ADD are on KL metal.

Here is my issue:
I have been assigned seats upon booking online on the transatlantic segments (DL metal) but not on the KL flights.

Is that common for WBC?

Actually, this is.....I flew from DTW-ATH in WBC back in September. The flight from DTW-AMS was on DL metal and the flight to ATH was KLM. A simple phone call took care of this and I was able to get the exact seats that I wanted. Should not be any trouble to make changes.

When I flew with KL (CPT-AMS-DTW) I could not select seats until 90 days before departure on the website. At 90 days prior I pulled up my record and chose the seat I wanted. No problems.

I want to live in an old and converted 727...
