This is from our employee's website.
Customers flying through Minneapolis can once again enjoy the comforts of our Red Carpet Club at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP).
The reopening of the MSP club was enabled in large part by our partnership with Continental, since reciprocal lounge access provides members of Continental's Presidents Clubs access to Red Carpet Clubs. Its location on Concourse E provides convenient access for customers traveling on both airlines.
The lounge was one of several line station Red Carpet Clubs that closed in October 2008 based on customer usage and operating costs. The reopened lounge has new furniture, more spacious seating areas, an upgraded bar and cafe, and additional power outlets so customers can work and recharge their electronic devices.
Our MSP-based frontline employees worked tirelessly in planning the reopening and are proud to once again serve all of our customers in Minnesota.
"We are excited to welcome the MSP Red Carpet Club back to the club network," says Jerry Thomas, manager-Airport Lounges. "This Red Carpet Club is centrally located to serve United and Continental and is a great example of how our partnership has enabled us to expand the network."
"The reopening means a lot to us," says Debbie Brown, a customer service representative who resumes her position working at the club. "We're hearing a lot of positive feedback from United and Continental customers; it's a win-win situation for everyone."
The reopening of the MSP Red Carpet Club lounge brings our total number of airport lounges to 45, which includes Red Carpet Clubs, United First International Lounges and Arrival Suites.
Now they need to bring back at least one MSP-IAD flight to connect to the Europe bank.

I was told that the lounge officially opened up last Friday when I passed through on Monday.
It's a nice lounge, all new furniture. Small bar area to the left, with maybe 30 seats in the main sitting area. Small but pretty cozy for the size of the UA/CO operation there. It'll be nice to be able to use this lounge when on UA/CO instead of making a small-ish hike from the DL SkyClubs on F/C.
